Jindal Medi Surge Orthopedic Small Fragment Locking compression plate system is part of medical grade stainless steel and titanium plate and screw system that merges locking head screw technology with conventional plating techniques. The Small Locking Compression Plate System has many similarities to existing non-locking plate systems but with a few important improvements. Instead of cortical screws, locking head screws provide the ability to create a fixed-angle construct which also provides advantages in osteopenic bone or multifragmentary fractures where traditional screw purchase is compromised. Locking head screws does not rely on plate/bone compression to maintain stability, but function similarly to multiple small angled blade plates. The Small Locking Compression Plate System has the following features: Uniform hole spacing, Load (compression) and neutral screw positions, Small Locking Compression Plates have combination locking and compression holes (combi holes), The combi holes allow placement of standard cortical and cancellous bone screws on one side or threaded conical locking screws on the opposite side of each hole. Developed for use in the French army FESSA is a lightweight tubular fixator with a number of interesting features. Standard Stainless Steel FESSA is very light. The tubular structure acts as both clamp and bar. The tube incorporates the pin clamping mechanism and is thus very strong and has extremely good angular pin rigidity. Available in 6 and 8mm & 12mm diameter Tubes. 6mm Tube accepts pins of shaft diameter 0.9mm to 1.8mm making it extremely useful in the management of fractures in cats and exotics. 8mm Tube accepts pins of shaft diameter 1.6mm to 3.2mm. 12mm Tube accepts pins of shaft diameter up to 4mm and M5 Grub Screws. Design allows placement of multiple parallel pins close together in small fragments. Pins can be placed at right angles to tube or angled through adjacent holes.
